Not your average Naturopath
What if I told you that you can get better?
As a degree-qualified Naturopath who’s worked amongst many health professionals, I have been able to help many people recover and live lives they didn’t think were possible.
Personally, I experienced a long-term battle with terrible period pain, gut issues and wavering moods before finally realising I had SIBO and endometriosis. I went on for years (in fact 18 years ’til diagnosed endo), not getting answers. Multiple visits to the ED, doctors and even a laparoscopy, and every time I was told everything’s “normal”.
It wasn’t until studying a bachelor of health science in Naturopathy that my eyes opened to the possibilities of 1) what my condition could be and 2) what can actually be done to heal.
So after researching, healing myself, and helping hundreds of clients, I now dedicate my life’s purpose to helping other women be able to experience better quality of life.
P.S. my second laparoscopy with an advanced trained excision surgeon idid indeed confirm I had endometriosis.
The key conditions I work with include:
- PMS and other period associated conditions
- Hormonal acne
- Coming off the pill
- Unexplained digestive conditions
- Mood disturbances
- Autoimmune conditions
I am also well versed in:
- The Autoimmune Protocol (AIP diet)
- Low FODMAP diet
- Healthful eating
- Paleo diet
- Optimising those who are vegan
I regularly refer clients for a range of functional tests that include blood tests or at-home tests. Functional tests are usually much more in-depth tests that give us a better picture as to what’s going on in a specific area, as opposed to your run of the mill standard blood tests.
- OAT – Organic Acid Test
- DUTCH – Dried urine test for comprehensive hormones
- SIBO breath Test
- Microba – gut microbiome sequencing
- CSA – Comprehensive Stool Analysis
- Pyrrole testing
I can also support you with both figuring out the best tests you need for your current health status, and how to better interpret them, even when you were told they look normal (e.g. iron and vitamin D reference ranges are often not optimal, thus why you might still feel fatigued).
I commonly see clients come in having self-labelled themselves with a “complex” case. I can understand why, given the plethora of symptoms one is experiencing. However, when we connect the dots of the what’s going on, look at your health history (e.g frequent antibiotic use, or glandular fever), we usually pin-point the one key driver that is at the root of it all. Once we start working on the root, the “complexity” of symptoms naturally subside.
It’s also not uncommon to see people who constantly report feeling like they never get any answers or explanations as to why they feel so fatigued/in pain/always sick etc. As a Naturopath, it’s what we do best; helping you finally understand what’s going on in your body, and how to help overcome it.
